Last day in Nashville

Last day in the studio after three weeks in Nashville. I couldn’t be more proud of what we’ve done here. ☀️ There are still horns and some truly special secret guests to add into the mix (😁!), plus fully finishing the mixes and the mastering, etc, but the pre-production and the recording of the bass, drums, keys, guitars and vocals are done. And truth be told: I’m in love with this album. I don’t even feel a hint of Midwestern guilt for saying so!

Gratitude and respect to this guy for making it happen. Casey, you’re the secret sauce! 🙏

Heading back to the Midwest for Sunday’s show with Chris Avey for the Avey Grouws Duo at Solera Wine Bar at 7. And a reminder that they moved Monday night’s show in Des Moines to Sunday, so unfortunately I can’t be there. But I’m sending love and cheer to you whether you hit the holiday show in Des Moines, if you join us in Grinnell on Sunday night or if you’ve got something else entirely to do. 🎄
