Hard Times Together

Just sitting here in my kitchen at The Music House on this gorgeous Friday. Got up to 70 degrees today. Spent some time in the sun and it brought me so much joy! ☀️

Things have been weighty lately. I’ve been fielding a lot of calls from friends that needed support. And, in turn, I’ve made a few calls for a friend myself.

The conversations are heavy. The news is heavy. It’s not fun, but to wrestle with the issues of the world is to be human. We’ve struggled since the beginning of time. That doesn’t make it any easier right now, but it is hopefully a reminder that we can, and will, get through it. We have to. And I’m reminded that the only time we have moved forward in history is when we found ways to come together.

You’re not alone. And although some fans and friends give me a hard time for sounding a little flip when I say this, I love you. I do. I cheer for you. I want happiness and security and comfort for you. For everyone.

So I sat down and started this from my heart. I hope you enjoy the snippet I’ve posted below. It’s yet to be finished, but right now it’s for you. And for me. ☀️

Lots coming up before I head to Nashville mid March to finish recording, playing my last 3 Avey Grouws Band shows and then to Colombia to see my baby brother. Keep an eye out on my tour calendar here! And I’ll be adding a TON of dates, so you can get alerted for free when I post a show in your area with no spamming by following me at bandsintown.com/jenigrouws

Be well. Breathe deeply. Drink your water. Help a neighbor.

Love, Jeni 💛
