Big news & I’m going to get better…
I’m sorry! I’m going to need to be better about updating you on things. 🤦🏼♀️ I promise, I’ll get there! I realize that not everyone uses social media, so hopefully this will be an easy way for you to stay connected. Thanks for understanding. And now, on to news.
As many of you know, for years I’ve been with Billboard Blues charting roots rock group, Avey Grouws Band. This is from today’s social media post:
Avey Grouws Band started with a chance meeting at a blues jam in April of 2015. Some incredible things have happened for the band over the years and we’re grateful for every moment. After much consideration, Chris Avey has decided he will be moving in a new direction. He is looking forward to embarking on other creative opportunities and, while new endeavors are always exciting, we realize that this is also tough news to hear as fans. All of us recognize how much love and support you’ve sent our way over the years. We could never have made it this far without you! And although this is the end of Avey Grouws Band, all of us will continue to create music full of life and love. We hope you’ll continue to support us as we work on other projects and that you’ll come and celebrate the last 8 shows of Avey Grouws Band.

With much love and gratitude,
Avey Grouws Band
Those were some great years! And there are more great years ahead. Many of you are asking what’s ahead. Well I have some exciting things to share and I will do so later this week while I’m at the F.A.R.M. (Folk Alliance Region Midwest) conference in Chicago this week! So stay tuned. But for now let me say how grateful I am for the past almost decade with these brothers of mine. I know we all wish each other well and I’m excited to hear what everyone will be working on in the future. Change can be scary, but it’s also such a good thing for growth and creativity. Here’s to AGB and here’s to the future!
Here’s some pics of Avey Grouws Band over the years. 💛
